Hi there! I am Ashley Urke {Urke like "turkey"}, the blogger behind Domestic Fashionista.
I live with my husband in almost always sunny Northern California {But don't be jealous, we do not live near the beach. And when we do visit the beach it is often overcast!}. I started this blog in 2008 to document a love for crafting and it has evolved over time into a blog about decorating our home on a budget and my life as a wife {we married in 2009}.
As a young wife, without kids, I juggle the challenges of the world to be career driven and busy. Instead, I am passionate about the home, my husband, and living simply. During this season of life I strive to make our home beautiful on a small budget, learn to manage a home, cook tasty meals, and make time for people.
Blogging has become such a wonderful platform for me to share common passions with other women but also a place to freely be myself...sharing the challenges of being a woman and wife who wants to put her home and family first.
When I am not blogging I take care of my sweet nephew part time and run a photography business with my husband.
