Semi-Homemade Aprons

CIMG0886I put together some aprons for a couple of recent birthday gifts.  I like fast projects that do not require a whole lot of sewing or planning.   CIMG0887I search thrift stores for pillowcases and kitchen towels in fun patterns.  The gut-work is done and all I have to do is add some trimming.  A very eco-friendly as well as economical project.  CIMG0889 I even found these cute little tags at the fabric store to personalize my projects.CIMG0892 Click here for my pillowcase apron tutorial (very similar to what I did here).

What kind of gifts do you make?

  1. Those are adorable!! :) You have such a knack for mixing things up. I have the hardest time finding cute towels/pillow cases that I like. Good job!
