Let's Talk About Teeth: Teeth Whitening Giveaway

You may not know this about me, but I have a thing for teeth.  Like when someone gets their braces off...I am ecstatic.  I want to celebrate with them.  I want to ask them about how slimy their teeth feel.  When people have good teeth, I like to let them know.

I have always been pretty happy with my teeth.  Perhaps having braces twice in my youth has something to do with it.  I can imagine my mom shaking her finger at me, "you better appreciate those teeth I paid for!"  Okay, maybe she doesn't do stuff like that.  But when you have braces twice you start having unappreciative teeth nightmares.

I have used over the counter whitening products in the past many years ago.  While I was happy with the outcome, I have always only been able to keep my front teeth the whitest.  This is not a huge deal, but my pushy dental hygienist likes to remind me every time I go in for a cleaning that they can whiten the rest of my teeth for me for a million dollars.  Okay, maybe not a million dollars, but let's just say my dental insurance will not cover it.

I recently teamed up with Smile Brilliant to try out their teeth whitening system.  They offer professional style teeth whitening but within the comfort of your own home.  They send you a fun little package in the mail where you actually make your own teeth molds.  While this may make some a little weary, I thought it was awesome!  I loved the concept of doing it myself!  And it was far from difficult so if there are any worriers out there, do not be!

Plus if you do end up messing them up, they are totally okay with sending you a new kit to remake the molds.

Once you send in your molds, they send you back custom made whitening trays and from their you can start whitening.

Here is my before picture.  Though my teeth are fairly white you can see that my side teeth are a bit more yellow.

The lighting was much different for my after picture but you can see that my teeth color look a lot more even.  I am really happy to finally have all of my teeth whitened equally.

I used one syringe of whitening gel to get what you see in my after picture.  Each kit comes with three whitening gels.  So if you have a lot more staining than I do, you have plenty of gel to work with.  And if you are like me and don't need to use all of it at once, the gel can be stored up to two years in the refrigerator to be used later!

For the applications, you whiten once a day for one to three hours.  It takes about five to seven days to get results.  Once your teeth are white you can stop the applications.

With Smile Brilliant, their product is made to remove stains which means it will not change your natural teeth color.  And you don't have to have perfect teeth to whiten them.  Because you get a custom tray fitted to your teeth, the whitening gel covers all of your teeth.  The gel gets down all the way to the dentin and not just the surface which makes Smile Brilliant's product work so well.

Besides the whitening, the kit also comes with desensitizing gel for in between whitenings.  This helps to rehydrate and strengthen your teeth in case your teeth become sensitive during whitening.

I was really happy with the results of Smile Brilliant's Teeth Whitening Trays.  And because I love teeth so much, I wanted to share it with you all today as well as a chance for one lucky reader to win their own Tray Creation Kit!
