Pumpkin Photo Shoot and Porches on Parade

This weekend was full of pumpkin fun. My sweet plump little pumpkins are so adorable they got their very own photo shoot! lol! Brent and I planned to go to our favorite pumpkin patch where they have pumpkins galore. One of the highlights is that you can fill an orange bag full of pumpkins, as much as you can get in there, for $6! Sadly though, the pumpkin patch was not open this year. Disappointed, we prevailed and headed to the grocery store to find ourselves some sweet little treats...
The Inspired Room’s Fall Drive By is showcasing fun and festive porches up through Halloween. I decided to join the fun by adding my pretty little pumpkins to the Porches on Parade. Here is the finished work:

Brent's new house has an awesome porch. I thought it would be so fun and festive if we could fill it with hay! We headed over to the local animal feed to find ourselves a perfect little hay stack.
I got the polka dots idea from Warm Pie, Happy Home. I love the white on orange and black on white. I also wanted a friendly saying on one of the pumpkins to invite guests into the home.
As you can see, Brent, the typical male, has a lovely jack-o-lantern face while I tried to be like Martha and go for a more decorative look. They both look so cute together...and what a reflection of our personalities!
The ribbon really ties them all together giving it a crafty touch (no pun intended!).
Happy pumpkin carving!

On another note, I finished some more painting projects and could not wait to post them. All of these items were either free finds or from family. I am so excited about how nicely they turned out. They look brand new and store bought! I would make HGTV proud! lol!
I painted the dinning room table white and the chairs black and I reupholstered the cushions with my $1 a yard fabric! Can't get any better than that!

Here are my outdoor pillows I finally made. In one of my earlier blogs I posted the table cloth...months later finally made them! They are made from outdoor table cloths so that you just simply wipe them clean. How easy is that!
Here is an old book shelf brought back to life with black paint. I found some baskets to fit perfectly inside. I painted the wooden boxes with white spray paint which ended up giving it a white washed look. A little ribbon for a finishing touch and I'd have to say they look pretty perfect (and they match my pumpkins!). :)
