This week I am thankful for writer's block.  For weeks now, blogging has been a lot harder for me on the writing side and I have realized this is a sign that I am doing something right.

I recently read a post about how the longer you write, the harder it getsThe last month has really helped me have a greater sense of purpose in blogging and within myself and I think the ugliness of the world wants to keep me from sharing it.

It is the negative and self defeating thoughts that go through my mind telling me what I am writing is not good enough or too much.  When in fact it is exactly what I need to share with the world.

I am so thankful for my readers.  You are awesome.  And over the past few weeks many of you have shared some really heartfelt appreciation for what I am writing here.  There is deepness in your words that are new to me.  It tells me to keep on writing, to keep on being real, and to keep on being honest.

As I am no longer to committed to writing for 31 days straight, I have a freedom to pull back.  Part of me wants to shut down my computer and be free for awhile.  But another part of me says you finally found your niche.  It is time to run with it.

So I run.  With nervousness and uncertainty.  Posts get written last minute.  Drafts are thrown out much more often.  I feel the sense of a burden to write.  To write with purpose and to write well.  And it is amazing.  I am so thankful to find passion and worth in my gift of writing about the home...and...well...life.
