Styling a New Dresser and Gallery Wall

We recently added a new piece of furniture to our living room. This white dresser was the perfect addition to add some bright white to the room while providing additional storage. It makes the colors of the gallery wall pop completing the wall vignette I put together.

The white dresser came from Sauder where they offer a wide of range of beautiful and affordable furniture. They have a great online database that allows you to search based on product, style, or type of space you are working with. When picking out this dresser, I knew it would be versatile in our home, for years to come, with its classic white color and design. Dressers are one of my favorite pieces of furniture to have as they can be used to also serve as a buffet or large side table.

Right now it holds our DVD's, video games, board games, and other odds and ends we use in our living room. But I can easily see this being used in the bedroom as a dresser or even in my office to organize my craft supplies.

Once we received the dresser in the mail we got to work assembling it. The one we choose is the Soft White Dresser.

All the pieces came tucked away neatly in the box labeled by letter that went along with the easy to follow instructions.

We laid out all the pieces and referred to the instructions which made putting the furniture together a lot easier. We spent one evening after dinner putting it together, chatting and working, making the whole process stress free and low key.

It was definitely a DIY experience to see how it all was put together and to assemble it ourselves.

Seeing the piece come together was very exciting! The hardware is so pretty!

By the end of the evening I put my feet up and took over as photographer while my husband finished it all off. A fun evening project that resulted in a brand new dresser for our home!

Then my favorite part came, the styling, where I took a lamp, vase, and plant to decorate the new spot. I wanted to make the space seem decorated but not overly cluttered. The crisp white on the dresser adds a lot to the room just by itself.

I changed up our "love wall" a little bit by adding in a few floral prints to add to the photos of Brent and I. It adds a punch of color to the existing photographs I had framed.

Nothing like a brand new piece of furniture to get me to reorganize and redecorate! I love the fresh feel the wall has (and I love the new wood smell each time I open up a drawer!).

I am so in love with this dresser! She is absolutely gorgeous!
