You all know how much I love the
holidays...all the decorating,
baking, and finding ways to use a Christmas tree all year around. Well, to this holiday fanatic, the summer is kind of disappointing. I just took down my Easter and Saint Patrick's Day decor...yes, it is the end of May, I know. But without the excitement of pulling out the next holiday, I just don't have the motivation to put it all away. But after my recent trip to
Hawaii, I was inspired to get working on the island cabana I wanted to create. Pulling together seashells and other pieces of nature, I was quite pleased with the outdoor and airy island feel of summer.

Added some candles to one of my favorite pieces...

Just simply adding candles made the gate scream beach!

My first apocathary jar! I especially love that it added height to the table to make a big statement without taking up a lot of table space.
