Easter 2020: A Happy Quarantine Holiday

Easter 2020 was one for the books! Landing in the middle of quarantine due to COVID -19, it was a holiday none of us would have ever expected. Yet my heart and my social media feed was full of family joy. It made my heart happy that so many of us are trying to make the most of this time despite the difficult circumstances.

This was our fourth Easter without extended family and we have yet to spend any major holiday with them since our children were born! While I miss the large gatherings, there is something lovely about the simplicity.

I’ve loved teaching our son more about Jesus this year. Perhaps one of the fondest memories I will have of this time. For that, I’m grateful. It was a lovely Easter. Here are a few of the highlights.

Our favorite Pottery Barn baskets.

Some favorite toys that made it in the basket this year:

Moulin Roty Grande Famile Bus  - I love all the Moulin Roty stuff! We have the little wood animal dolls that go with the bus and they are so cute!

Pottery Barn Stuffed Animals - the softest and sweetest animals. My kids tend to favor these over others. The smalls ones are great for little hands to cuddle.

Moulin Roty Top - nostalgic tin top

Stainless Steel Water Bottle - both kids have these and they are our favorite water bottles! I get custom name labels for them from Molly Ellen.

Astronauts Board Book - sweet board book with flaps to move and fun astronaut facts for our space loving kid.

Wood Play Food - adorable set perfect for our little wood kitchen collection. The straw and juice box is to die for!

Poke-A-Dot Book - these books are fantastic! If you haven't see them, I highly recommend! We need to get another one so the kids don't fight over it!

A simple and sweet washi tape activity.

Seeing their faces light up when their baskets arrive is pretty much the best thing ever.

A simple but delicious meal - favorite easy pork tenderloin, baked mac and cheese, and baked veggies.
