To announce the news of our pregnancy to both of our parents, I wanted to come up with something fun and creative. After racking my brain, I settled on a photo book. It would allow me to tell a story while also completely fitting with my love for photos and memories. It ended up being the perfect pregnancy announcement gift to our parents.
I used Shutterfly for the books because I really love their small square 20-page books (when making smaller gift type books). They are just the right size and are so easy to make. Plus I can usually find some kind of deal online to get a discount.
We have a good six years of marriage under our belt so I filled the book with photos from our past starting with our engagement.
Then one photo from each year that we have been married.
Looking back at each year was so fun for me. We have been so blessed to celebrate our anniversary every year at a special place. Above is at Disneyland and in Lake Tahoe. Below is Puerto Vallarta and Portland.
And the last two years were in Paris and Victoria, BC.
At this point our parents are thinking, oh this is so sweet all those years. Until...
It was so sweet to see their reactions. They were both shocked and over the moon excited to hear the news. And they now proudly show off their book to all their friends and family. Of all the people in the world, it will be those grandparents who love our child the most so having this fun keepsake meant a lot to me to be able to give to them. And I am sure there will be many more baby photo books to come!
