My First Lamp

I may have learned how to master a spray paint can but I am now just learning a thing or two about electricity. Here is my first lamp (second hand that is)...bought at the thrift store. It even came with a light bulb, how about that! My goal was to find a nice base with good curves and a shade that was light colored and in good condition. All that fringe and stuff I have seen some of you do...baby steps my friends. Buying the lamp in hopes it would work was my first step! This one looked pretty good and was at a fair price...
And with my best friend white spray paint in hand, she turned out to be this...
I am proof that with a little courage, you too can tackle that infamous project that just seems too scary. I have surprised myself many times by going out on a limb and trying something new. You will never know how it turns out until you give it a try. When it comes to painting, many of you have asked how I do it...just grab some paint and go! With a little experimentation, you start learning on your own and the confidence comes. If I can do it, you can do it!

The chandelier is next...I will have to put my big girl shoes on for that one!

What is YOUR scary project? What are you afraid to work on? Have you overcome project anxiety?
