Lace Inspired Pumpkins

After creating some lace canvas art, I knew I wanted to add some lacey love to my fall pumpkins this year.  It has been super hot here still so I have not been in the mood to pull my fall stuff out yet.  But I grudgingly got my pumpkins out...only to be followed by a lovely windy evening.  I like to think this was the little wake up call fall needed.

My fall decorating palate is a little bit of orange...and more whites and browns so I wanted my outdoor pumpkins to reflect that same look.  Lace wast the perfect addition.

So how did I do it?  Well, since I am non-committal with decorating, I didn't want to glue or permanently attach anything as I am sure I will be into something else next year.  An easy solution was to pin the lace with a small safety pin.  When I ran out, I just tied some of the lace in the back.  This also allowed me to pull the lace nice and tight so that it doesn't slip off.  So simple!

And might I add...look how good my flowers are growing in!  Quite a difference from when we first finished our front yard garden project

Have you decorated for fall yet or are you holding out for cool weather?
