Moms Group: Christmas Card Making

For the moms group that I run at my church, we have reached out to members of our church to support our group in a variety of ways.  Two women I recently met for the first time wanted to get involved.  They share a love for card making and wanted to host one of our meetings with a Stampin' Up! card making class.  It was the perfect way to kick off this holiday season.

I filled our room with some Christmas decor I had at home.  Some simple little trees and a banner brought lots of Christmas cheer!

The women who hosted the class shared their heart for women, crafting, and community.  Hearing them share their passion to connect over creating was exactly the same heart beat I have for our moms group.  Seeing the women share their lives with each other while giggling over crafts makes for a pretty darn good morning in my opinion.

I often share with people when I talk about not being a mom and running a moms group is that I am not so much passionate about moms getting together as I am about women connecting.  For this season, that passion is being pursued through this group.  Bridging a generational gap in our church over breakfast and creative activities fills a need for many of these women that I am so grateful to provide.

I am so thankful for women who are willing to reach out and connect with the young moms of our church.  It is amazing that the simple act of creating can do so much for the soul.
